365 Fear Bible Verses
It’s been said that there are 365 “Fear Not” verses in the Bible – one for each day of the year. But some beg to differ.
So as usual, I decided to find out for myself. {grin}
Are you curious too?
I began to hunt for examples of fear and anxiety in the Bible, and I was surprised to find well over 365!
BUT … just so you know,
I did not find 365 instances of God specifically telling someone to “fear not” or “don’t be afraid.”
Even so, He did give that direct command over 100 times – which is still a bunch!
And He implied it hundreds more – through the experiences of people just like us in the Bible.
So basically, it depends on how you ask the question.
Did God speak the command “Fear not” 365 times? No.
Is the subject of fear and anxiety mentioned in the Bible 365 times? Yes.
And that doesn’t even include all the many “fear God” (reverence) verses.
However you look at it, God has a lot to say on this subject!
Have you ever wondered why God tells us not to fear when it feels like an uncontrollable emotion?
Hold on to your hat because here’s the cool part: The Lord gives the answer to that question – and more – in His Word!
As I studied over 365 occurrences of fear and anxiety in the Bible, and compiled them all in one place, I learned SO much more than I ever dreamed I would.

Colossians 1:6 (NLT): This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace.
That’s why there’s no commentary. In this journal, you’ll only find questions that point to the direction of the theme.
We’ll let God do all the talking this time – because this subject is huge.
You’ll want to lean in and listen.
And ask the Lord to change your heart to be more like His.
